Day 5: Now we're Sevillians!

Today, we packed our bags, and we were off to Seville. We first walked to the train station and got past security pretty quickly. After that, we boarded the train. There was a big foldable table and a nice soft seat. We finished some work, ate a croissant, and played Candy Crush. Once we got off our train, we went to our very nice 4-floor apartment in downtown Seville. The first floor had an empty pool and a bedroom with a bathroom attached. The second floor had a full kitchen, a dining area, and a comfy living room. The third floor had three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The last floor had a washing machine and led to the terrace, which had beautiful views. After the apartment manager left us, we went for lunch and had pizzas and tapas. Afterward, we chilled out for a while and settled into our apartment (when we arrived, the cleaners were still cleaning the apartment). Day 11: Zlatni Rat Beach

Today we went to the Zlatni Rat Beach on the island of Brač. We had so much fun.

We got up and went to Babic Cafe, a local cafe in Split. The baked goods we great and a lot of them were filled with chocolate. We got a chocolate filled donut, a chocolate twist, and some croissants.

Then we went home and relaxed, watched a movie, and sat in our apartment until 2:00 PM, where we got ready to catch the 3:00 ferry to Island Brač. Then, we took a taxi through a long and interesting path across the island to Zlatni Rat Beach. First, we saw lots of olive trees on either side of us, then grapes. The driver told us that the right side was for white wine and the left side was for red wine.

Then we came across some white stone. The stone is so pure here that when making the White House  they imported stone from Brač! Eventually we got to the beach and we played in the water. This beach makes the top 20 list in the world’s best beaches.

Then we went to the Bol ferry station by boat and took a ferry home. Today was a great day!

Day 1: Drive, Fly, Wait, Repeat

 Today was quite a long day! We went on two flights, drove for more than five hours, and had to go through lots of extra detours due to COVID-19. So, here’s how it started! We woke up early, around three o’clock in the morning, and finished packing all our bags. We were taking a total of four bags and four backpacks total, so we had a lot to carry! We loaded in all of our bags. Then, we tried to close the water supply to our house since our bathrooms have leaked once in the past during a vacation (the leak destroyed our wooden floor, and we had to replace it completely). Unfortunately, we weren’t able to close it, so we’re taking a risk on that part. We then drove around three hours to get to another city and then take a flight from Honolulu. We had already booked the parking spot, so we parked into the vast parking lot, took a picture of our car (so we knew where we parked), and took the shuttle into the airport. Day 1-2: One Destination, Two Days, Three Flights

November 16 was three days before thanksgiving break, but we're off anyway. We wanted to get our full two weeks of vacation in, given we didn't travel anywhere  this summer. So, we packed our bags and left school early. Our uncle and grandmother had left India first, and our aunt and uncle-in-law left second. We were the third and last party to leave our home and travel to Madrid, our first destination in Spain. Our flight itinerary would take us from Austin to Frankfurt, Germany, and then to Madrid. We took an Uber to the airport, where we easily made it through security. Once we made it through, we had an hour before we needed to board, so we decided to eat at The Peached Tortilla , an Asian fusion restaurant that serves tacos and rice bowls. We ordered the chicken tacos, the chicken rice bowl, and the cauliflower rice bowl. The food was truly amazing. There was a lot of rice, which definitely fueled us up for our flight.
