Day 5: Now we're Sevillians!

Today, we packed our bags, and we were off to Seville. We first walked to the train station and got past security pretty quickly. After that, we boarded the train. There was a big foldable table and a nice soft seat. We finished some work, ate a croissant, and played Candy Crush. Once we got off our train, we went to our very nice 4-floor apartment in downtown Seville. The first floor had an empty pool and a bedroom with a bathroom attached. The second floor had a full kitchen, a dining area, and a comfy living room. The third floor had three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The last floor had a washing machine and led to the terrace, which had beautiful views. After the apartment manager left us, we went for lunch and had pizzas and tapas. Afterward, we chilled out for a while and settled into our apartment (when we arrived, the cleaners were still cleaning the apartment). Day 4: Vintgar Gorge, Vogel, and Lake Bohinj

Today we explored Slovenia a lot more than some other days. We went to Vintgar Gorge, Vogel (A mountain if you didn’t know) and Lake Bohinj.

Vintgar Gorge is a long distance to walk, but you can see the water circling around and fish swimming in the water. The scenery is beautiful. The Gorge plus the water plus the greenery plus the sun is an amazing picture!

Next, we went to the Savica Waterfall, and it had a small hike to get there. Every now and then we would stop and take a break and just enjoy the amazing views. And the end, we saw the rumbling waterfall. There was a little hut where the trail led in to and the views were great!

After that was Vogel, a 1922 meter mountain. However, the height the cable car went to was 1532 meters. Next, we went on a chairlift to the very top and came straight back. Even though we did absolutely nothing at the top, the chairlift was a very interesting experience.

Then we took some photos and then we had a little food. Then we left for Lake Bohinj.

The lake was less than ten minutes of drive from the cable car station and we dipped our feet. The water was not as cold as you may think. We did not have our swim suits or anything like that so we couldn’t swim in the lake. The lake though was beautiful. However one note for future travellers: the lake’s shores are very rocky so it’s a good idea to bring water shoes to protect your feet.

Day 1: Drive, Fly, Wait, Repeat

 Today was quite a long day! We went on two flights, drove for more than five hours, and had to go through lots of extra detours due to COVID-19. So, here’s how it started! We woke up early, around three o’clock in the morning, and finished packing all our bags. We were taking a total of four bags and four backpacks total, so we had a lot to carry! We loaded in all of our bags. Then, we tried to close the water supply to our house since our bathrooms have leaked once in the past during a vacation (the leak destroyed our wooden floor, and we had to replace it completely). Unfortunately, we weren’t able to close it, so we’re taking a risk on that part. We then drove around three hours to get to another city and then take a flight from Honolulu. We had already booked the parking spot, so we parked into the vast parking lot, took a picture of our car (so we knew where we parked), and took the shuttle into the airport. Day 1-2: One Destination, Two Days, Three Flights

November 16 was three days before thanksgiving break, but we're off anyway. We wanted to get our full two weeks of vacation in, given we didn't travel anywhere  this summer. So, we packed our bags and left school early. Our uncle and grandmother had left India first, and our aunt and uncle-in-law left second. We were the third and last party to leave our home and travel to Madrid, our first destination in Spain. Our flight itinerary would take us from Austin to Frankfurt, Germany, and then to Madrid. We took an Uber to the airport, where we easily made it through security. Once we made it through, we had an hour before we needed to board, so we decided to eat at The Peached Tortilla , an Asian fusion restaurant that serves tacos and rice bowls. We ordered the chicken tacos, the chicken rice bowl, and the cauliflower rice bowl. The food was truly amazing. There was a lot of rice, which definitely fueled us up for our flight. Day 3: Like a Raven on a Page in a book

Today we woke up and had a breakfast at the Yavpai Lodge. We soon checked out after getting our bags into our car. We saw the Canyon from Mather Point and then drove for a little bit to see the Desert View Watchtower. We stopped at multiple points on the way to admire the views. At Mather point we found a raven who looked really cool with the views, so we got some pictures and we were on our way. In the watchtower we learned about some of the Native American paintings on the wall and we climbed up 85 stairs to look at the view. My brother forgot his hat and I had to go all the way to fetch it! We also bought a small medallion with the Native American tribes that inhabit the Grand Canyon.   We left Grand Canyon National Park and were on our way to Page, AZ. On our way we saw sand dunes that surprisingly looked like rocks. At Page we checked into our Marriott, left our bags and drove to Horseshoe Bend. Page is famous for Horseshoe Bend and is a one and a half mile round trip. If
